“I’ve struggled with my weight for the majority of my adult life. I come from a big Italian family and food has always been central to every social gathering. For me, food is something I not only enjoy but derive a great amount of comfort from. Since I’ve had children, I see that I also equate feeding with love and care and that hasn’t always been the best thing.
I had my first child at 32 and my body bounced back fairly quickly, but twins in the second go around changed my body forever. I began to struggle with weight in places that had never been an issue for me. I’ve never been a small girl but I was suddenly a size 16 and that was scary.
A few years ago I got back to working out and lost some weight and was back to a size 10/12. The problem was, I used the fact that I had worked out as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted.
This year, I hit my scary number on the scale and decided that I had to do something.
I’ve done all of the shake programs with little to no result and I want to hit my mid-forties as a healthy and strong woman, not someone sliding into middle age gracelessly. I see family members struggling with their health and it is the cumulative effect of never taking care of themselves. This year was a tipping point, I have the job I want, my kids are more self-sufficient and now there is time. Time for me to get back to taking care of myself.
I did not want to do another gimmicky diet, I wanted a lifestyle change that was sustainable. This program and the people at CoreFit have fit the bill perfectly. This is a way of life, a change in habits and a shift in focus. I am mindful and respectful of how I fuel my body and I not only see results, I feel the difference. This is NOT A DIET, this is my NEW WAY OF LIFE.”
